Products

A superior product range of building, air-conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, heating, electrical, safety and drainage materials plus hire facilities can be sourced through our unique distribution system and 1800 branch network. This gives the education sector access to a wide range of products, expertise and customer services.

Bespoke Customer Solutions

Bespoke service solutions can be implemented to meet a customer’s requirements, ranging from stores management and dedicated account management to a wide variety of e-commerce services.

Efficiencies & Savings

Design Input

Wolseley UK works closely with many of the major manufacturers in the construction industry and can provide design and whole life costing advice across a broad range of products during the design stage of projects. Our input at an early stage in education construction can improve accuracy of cost predictions and help ensure that design quality targets are met. We can also help to ensure that efficiencies are maximised by helping standardise products across projects.

Logistics

We have a proven track record of creating bespoke logistics solutions for our customers in order to save time and reduce costs. Logistics are planned at an early project stage and can include the use of solutions such as consolidation centres and dedicated stores which will have stock profiles that are specific to one project or programme. Such solutions can be particularly efficient when consecutive projects are in construction phase simultaneously.

Embedded Staff

A small handful of Wolseley customers have Wolseley embedded staff working from their offices. This is an excellent way to improve communication between the customer and Wolseley. The implanted member of staff acts as a single point of contact for all material procurement. The branches distribute the orders to the closest and most suitable branch to the site for delivery or collection. Customers that have adopted this approach include Enterprise, Multibuild and John Lewis Partnerships.
